FCL OR LCL
Which booking fits your cargo
The first question on any sea enquiry. If you are not sure which one you need, say so on the quote form and we will work it out from your volumes.
Full container load (FCL)
You take the whole box. The right call when your cargo fills most of a container, or when you would rather it was not handled alongside anyone else’s.
- FCL and LCL shipment coordination
- Carrier booking
- Bill of lading handling
- FCL and LCL shipment coordination
Rule of thumb: at roughly 15 CBM and above, a full container is usually the simpler booking.
Less than container load (LCL)
You share the box with other shippers. Sensible for smaller volumes, where waiting to fill a container would hold your stock longer than consolidating it does.
- Measured per cubic metre or weight tonne, whichever is greater
- Consolidation and deconsolidation at the CFS handled for you
- Suits repeat replenishment runs between larger bookings
- Slower at both ends than FCL, and we tell you where

What we handle on every sea shipment
Booking is the easy part. Sea shipments come apart in the documents, the free time, and the handover at each end. Those are the parts we own.
Carrier booking and space confirmation
We book with the line, confirm the space, and give you the cut-off dates in writing before they turn into a problem.
Bill of lading, drafted and checked
Draft B/L goes to you for approval. Corrections get raised before issue, and release runs by original or telex, whichever you use.
Customs documentation at both ends
Commercial invoice, packing list, and certificate of origin checked against the booking, with the declaration coordinated at origin and destination.
Free time tracked before it costs you
We watch the free time on your container and flag it while there is still room to act, not after demurrage lands on an invoice.
COVERAGE
Ports we book into and out of
Coordination across Malaysia’s main container ports. Where a road leg gets your cargo there sooner, we plan the sea and land legs together rather than as two bookings.
KLANG VALLEY AND NORTH
Port Klang, Westports and Northport
Penang Port
The default routing for most Klang Valley and northern shippers.
JOHOR AND THE SOUTH
Johor Port, Pasir Gudang
Port of Tanjung Pelepas
Worth checking when your cargo or your buyer sits closer to Singapore.
EAST COAST AND EAST MALAYSIA
Kuantan Port
Bintulu Port
Sapangar Bay, Kota Kinabalu
The default routing for most Klang Valley and northern shippers.
Sea in, road onward
A sea leg into Port Klang and a road leg into Singapore or Thailand stays one booking, one set of documents, and one person to call.
